Tiger Buford is a business-focused technology leader in the Orthopaedic device industry.
He is currently the Vice President of Global Research and Development at Active Implants Corp with offices in Memphis, TN and Netanya, Israel. He most recently served as Vice President of Research and Development at NovaLign Orthopaedics, Inc. a startup company developing an MIS extra-capsular intramedullary device that allows the a surgeon to repair a long bone fracture without violating the nearby tissues or joint space.
Previously, Tiger held R&D management and Business Development positions at Wright Medical Technology, Sulzer Orthopedics and Smith and Nephew. He has brought over 50 new devices through the development process and into commercialization and he holds patents for total joint devices. He earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Memphis.
